A leading company in the mining sector is seeking two Geotechnical Engineers to join their team in Calgary. The ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least 4 years of relevant experience, particularly in Oil & Gas. Responsibilities include providing geotechnical support and conducting data analyses for mining projects. Base pay range
CA$85,000.00 / yr - CA$160,000.00 / yr
We are expanding our team. We have new opportunities that are available with our current client. There are opportunities for Geotechnical Engineers / Civil Engineers, and we are looking for highly motivated candidates to fill 2 open spots. The positions will be working in Calgary, AB; and expected start dates are ASAP (starting in Q2 2025).
The ideal candidate will be an Intermediate Engineer professional with at least 5 years of professional experience, with preference given to those with experience in the Oil & Gas industry (specifically with Oil Sands Mining experience). This position is based in Calgary, AB., (work is expected to be from a downtown office, with options to work from home part-time), and will be working directly with our team of mining professionals. The candidate will have experience with mine waste and tailings design; understanding of soil mechanics and rock mechanics; slope stability analysis; seepage analysis; design of large scale construction features for mining sites (tailings dam and containment structures; roads and pipelines; waste storage; ore stockpiles; reclamation); proficient in mining software (including MineScape; MineSight; AutoCAD; Geo-Slope); data analysis; communication skills; and report writing ability.
Our client is a major oil & gas company and the successful candidate will be working on a team that assists the Geotechnical Engineering manager on various projects. This opportunity will offer exceptional learning opportunity as well as opportunity for advancement. Many of our past employees have since moved into fulltime roles with our client.
