Job description

We are searching for a tenacious Bookkeeper to join a team of legal professionals in Victoria, British Columbia. Our client is looking for a talented accountant to join their established and trusted team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting, coordinating, and enhancing existing accounting processes.

Responsibilities include:
  1. General accounting and bookkeeping functions
  2. Accounts Receivable / Payables and Reconciliations
  3. Handling bank and credit card transactions weekly and preparing expense reports
  4. Setting up supplier payments and invoices on a weekly or bi-weekly basis
  5. Bank reconciliations
  6. Other duties as necessary based on business and department needs
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience as a full-cycle bookkeeper or accountant
  • CA or legal background is an asset
  • HR component experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), databases, and accounting software; aptitude to learn new programs
  • Ability to build relationships
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary range: $75,000 - $100,000 depending on experience
  • Paid vacation

  • This is a fully in-office position
