A boutique Public Relations Agency is seeking an experienced Account Executive with B2B expertise in the building materials and the construction sectors to provide effective project management and help manage the agency’s client portfolio.

Job Description & Responsibilities :

The company is seeking a proactive and hands-on Account Executive to provide project management and strategic marketing advice for clients in the building materials and construction sectors. This is a client-facing role, which requires organization and adaptability to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

The Account Executive will work closely with the Account Director to support daily client needs and be responsible for adhering to budgeting, tracking deadlines, and managing deliverables. They will handle a wide range of responsibilities, including development of product launches; media relations; preparation of content creation for web, social media, and trade publications; influencer collaboration management; supporting trade events participation; and preparation of PR case studies.

This is a hybrid position, based out of the company’s office in the GTA West.

Qualifications & Skills Requirements :

The right candidate will have post-secondary education and at least five years of PR and / or marketing and communications experience in an agency environment. Strong preference will be given to candidates with related industry expertise in the building materials and construction sectors and the ability to understand and communicate complex technical information. Apart from professional credentials and industry experience, fit is vital in a boutique environment. A like-minded professional will have insatiable curiosity and understand good customer service. They can work autonomously on projects and provide effective and concise communications to clients and other stakeholders across a variety of formats and platforms. They also appreciate teamwork. As part of a team, they aren’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
