The role involves monitoring, restoring service, making changes, supporting, and handling day-to-day activities 24/7/365 to ensure the operation of mission-critical systems, meeting service levels, and managing environments. Responsibilities include infrastructure and application monitoring, incident management, deploying changes, and engaging third-party providers during incidents. Provides immediate response to system problems, participates in testing, and deploys infrastructure and applications according to plans.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise and oversight on the production floor, understanding process requirements to resolve issues.
- Manage complexity across business value, technology, and interaction models.
- Recommend and implement solutions based on issue analysis.
- Identify emerging issues and trends for decision-making.
- Conduct independent analysis to resolve strategic issues.
- Establish relationships within IT and business units for effective collaboration.
- Monitor performance and address issues.
- Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations.
- Participate in regulatory inspections.
- Develop and implement measures to improve production, equipment reliability, and compliance.
- Provide end-to-end technology support, including root-cause analysis.
- Promote new processes, systems, and technologies for performance improvement.
- Monitor system performance proactively and identify operational improvements.
- Support deployment activities and manage implementation issues.
- Provide initial triage and investigation for issues/incidents.
- Monitor infrastructure and applications through automated systems.
- Assist end-users via inbound calls for application and technical support.
- Collaborate across bank areas and develop knowledge assets.
- Adhere to standards and industry best practices.
- Engage with organizational interactions and complexity.
- Identify opportunities to enhance operational capability, including mentoring and community building.
- Stay informed on industry trends through participation in professional communities.
- Provide specialized consulting and technical support.
- Use judgment to diagnose and solve problems within rules.
- Work independently on non-routine situations.
Qualifications:
- Experience with z/OS CICS, MQ, WebSphere management, and performance analysis in large-scale multi-LPAR environments.
- Knowledge of Mainframe Instrumentation and observability tools like Dynatrace, Omegamon, WLM, Apptune.
- Ability to perform root-cause analysis for complex issues.
- Support and insights for product, channel, and business development initiatives.
- Typically 4-7 years of IT or business experience, with relevant education.
- Understanding of IT operations processes, including monitoring, logging, and alerting standards.
- Knowledge of support practices, concepts, and technology.
- Deep technical and business knowledge of systems and tools.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and influence skills.
- Data-driven decision-making skills.
Salary:
$74,800.00 - $138,600.00
