The site SHE Specialist is responsible for managing Safety, Health & Environment improvement activities to achieve excellence at the site level. This role collaborates with site Supply Chain teams to develop SHE strategies and improvement plans aiming for sustainable SHE excellence by reducing injuries, illnesses, and environmental impacts, as measured by key KPIs. The role involves flexible rotating hours.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement the global/cluster SHE strategy, policies, and standards at the site to achieve sustainable results
  • Conduct safety and environmental risk assessments and develop/implement controls
  • Lead the SHE Pillar in line with ManEx
  • Influence senior management and promote safety and environmental leadership
  • Ensure legal compliance and adherence to local/national regulations and Unilever standards
  • Work with Occupational Health to identify and mitigate occupational health risks
  • Assist in developing and leading crisis and safety committees; support incident investigations
  • Advise management on accident/incident investigations
  • Analyze incident trends and conduct compliance audits
  • Manage SHE data, statistics, and reporting
  • Identify training needs and facilitate training programs
  • Oversee timely reporting of injuries and liaise with partners for claim management
  • Coordinate injury management and return-to-work programs
  • Approve chemical SDS management
  • Drive internal SHE audits and ensure compliance
  • Prepare regulatory and permit reports
  • Establish and report on SHE metrics
  • Update facility SOPs
  • Understand waste management practices and oversee waste streams and reporting

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental Sustainability
  • At least 2 years’ experience in SHE, factory engineering, or manufacturing
