THE COMPANY & CULTURE

Our client is a fast-growing startup founded in 2017, focused on reducing traffic delays and improving safety at rail crossings. Their technology powers roadside signs and adaptive traffic signals to reroute drivers, reduce congestion, and lower emissions. It also helps emergency dispatchers avoid train delays, ensuring faster response times. By informing drivers, the system reduces risky behavior and improves road safety. With a dedicated team of 12 and growing, the company is driven by its mission to save lives, improve the economy, and protect the environment through real-time rail crossing intelligence.

THE LOCATION

  • Head Office: Winnipeg, MB
  • Sales Territory: North America, with a focus on U.S. regions receiving infrastructure stimulus funding
  • Work Model: 100% remote, with flexible working hours

THE PRODUCT / SALES CYCLE
Our client offers railway insights solutions that help reduce traffic congestion, collisions, emissions, and emergency response delays. Their system uses a combination of hardware and cloud-based software: sensors detect train movement, which is then analyzed and relayed via APIs to roadside signs, apps, and 911 dispatchers.

  • Target Clients: Government agencies such as transportation departments and emergency services
  • Average sales cycle: 2–3 months, but complex deals with public agencies may extend over 12 months
  • Average order value varies by project scope and customer type

TYPICAL DAY & DUTIES

  • Support client onboarding and help build early-stage relationships
  • Coordinate 3-month check-in presentations and regional workshops
  • Attend design review meetings with solution engineers
  • Prepare meeting decks, workshop materials, and internal documentation
  • Join weekly internal war room meetings to discuss account status and flag issues
  • Escalate technical questions or blockers to the relevant internal teams
  • Collaborate with solution engineers to align on project delivery
