WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Extract and analyze job cost data directly from the ERP system, ensuring accuracy through rigorous data validation processes.
  • Translate raw system data into clear, intuitive Excel-based reports and dashboards for stakeholders in construction, development, and finance.
  • Collaborate with construction and finance leads to understand reporting needs and refine data outputs accordingly.
  • Partner with IT or data teams, when needed, to build and optimize queries or automations pulling from Yardi’s data structure.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations and cost forecasting to support capital planning and construction performance tracking.
  • Develop repeatable processes and documentation for Yardi data pulls and validations.
  • Work closely with project managers and finance to ensure consistency between field-level reporting and system records.
  • Serve as a technical problem-solver — especially when integrating Yardi data into Excel or other analytical platforms — to make complex data usable.


WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience working with ERP systems (Yardi preferred), with a strong understanding of data structures and backend extraction.
  • Familiarity with construction job costing and capital tracking; willingness to learn financial concepts if not already experienced.
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort building models, dashboards, and lookup-based reporting tools.
  • Experience with EQL and BI Tools would be considered an asset
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a passion for making messy data make sense.
  • Excellent communication skills — you know how to take abstract data and explain it clearly to people who don’t live in spreadsheets.
  • Self-starter mentality and a collaborative attitude; you're comfortable figuring things out and asking questions when needed.
