Horizon is a leading IT Solution Engineer/Architect company that offers on-demand engagements. We provide innovative technology solutions for our clients. We are seeking an experienced Solution Engineer/Architect with a proven track record in supporting Sales Executives, defining solutions across data, storage, networking, Cyber Resilience, Cyber Security, and overall IT architecture. The role involves architecting solutions that meet client requirements and producing comprehensive Statements of Work (SOW) tailored to client needs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Support:

• Participate in sales calls and collaborate with the sales team to gather requirements.
• Match client requirements with our technology offerings to provide tailored solutions.
• Present technical solution proposals to C-level decision makers.

Technical Expertise:

• Possess broad and deep knowledge across data, storage, networking, Cyber Resilience, Cyber Security, and IT architecture.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements.
• Facilitate detailed hardware and software specifications for accurate quoting.

Solution Architecture:

• Design comprehensive solutions, especially in data center environments, storage, networking, etc.
• Create detailed and accurate SOWs, outlining scope, deliverables, costs, and timelines.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between client needs and solutions.

Communication Skills:

• Clearly articulate technical solutions to clients.
• Communicate client requirements and expectations effectively within internal teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales calls and engaging with C-level clients.
• Extensive experience in data, storage, networking, and IT architecture.
• Understanding of data issues like migration, analytics, and master data management.
• Exposure to Cyber Resilience, Cyber Security, and Disaster Recovery strategies and technologies.
• Ability to architect data center environments and create detailed SOWs.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and customer-centric approach.
• Willingness to travel within Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia.
