POSITION OVERVIEW
We're looking for a detail-focused Clerk 2 to join our Finance Department – a team that’s about more than just numbers. We pride ourselves on collaboration, great service, and yes, we do like Excel.

This isn’t your average clerical role – you’ll be supporting day-to-day financial processes and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Coordinating a high volume of e-mail correspondence
  • Keeping records, files, and data accurate and up to date – you’re basically the glue that keeps us organized
  • Operating office equipment like a pro – from printers to computer terminals
  • Supporting your fellow finance teammates with a positive attitude and collaborative spirit
  • Using Microsoft Office tools including Word and Excel to prepare forms, reports, and maybe even the occasional beautiful table
  • Performing data entry, financial transactions, and simple calculations – accuracy is your superpower
  • Answering questions and offering advice on matters related to the work (don’t worry, we’ll get you up to speed!)


What You Bring to the Team:

  • A solid understanding of modern office practices and administrative procedures
  • Experience providing excellent customer service and sharing information clearly and confidently
  • Confidence with Microsoft Word and Excel (bonus points if you’ve made a snazzy spreadsheet or two)
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset – and the ability to stay cool under pressure
  • Comfort with data entry and light accounting work – accuracy and organization are second nature to you
  • A sense of humour and a team-first attitude.


Required Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
Sound knowledge of the services, functions, procedures, policies, by-laws and regulations governing applicable department operations and activities as they relate to the work performed.

Sound knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.

Ability to deal effectively and courteously with the public and other departments in providing factual information and assistance on matters related to the work.

Ability to perform non-complex arithmetic calculations applicable to the work.

Ability to operate office equipment related to the work.

Ability to perform clerical assignments, with proficiency in MS Office, specifically Word and Excel.

Ability to perform data entry duties of a bookkeeping/accounting clerical nature, with a high degree of accuracy and the ability to operate a computer terminal.

Required Education, Training, and Experience:
High school graduation including or supplemented by courses in accounting, business, and word processing subjects, experience with accounting software is an asset. Sound-related experience preferably in a Financial Agency; OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
