About The Role


As a CBRE Contract Sr. Manager, you will oversee the team responsible for supporting contract management, governance, performance, and innovation deliverables for CBRE’s Province of British Columbia account.


This job is part of the Contract Quality Management job function. They are responsible for managing the delivery of contractual services to ensure requirements are fulfilled.


What You’ll Do


Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.


Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.


Oversee contract governance, including ensuring all deliverables meet contractual obligations, supporting account leaders with understanding and interpreting contract language, working with stakeholders to recommend improvements to the contract language, and directly managing the contract change control process.


Support the development, upkeep, and optimization of account playbooks, processes, and procedures. Works to significantly improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline. This includes opportunities for cost reductions, improved profitability, and new business pursuits.


Work closely with senior management and client stakeholders to identify and recommend solutions that align with key goals and objectives and lead the execution of these initiatives. Support solutions that minimize overall risk for the account’s financial and operational performance.


Leverage company resources, internal contacts, and outside vendors to bring forward thinking, innovative ideas, and best practices to the account.


Craft clear and articulate reports, documents, and communications related to contract deliverables and process improvement initiatives.


Develop strong relationships with clients, senior leaders, and internal stakeholders and work toward common goals, successful contract outcomes, and resolve concerns or conflicts.


Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.

“The successful candidate will be required to attain and maintain a valid and active RCMP Enhanced Security Clearance (ERSC). Please note, a condition for attaining an Enhanced Reliability Security (ERS) clearance includes the condition that applicants must have lived in Canada a minimum of five years to apply for ERS.”


What You’ll Need


Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years’ experience in contract management, process improvement, quality control, or project management. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

Strong written and oral communications skills with emphasis on reports, SOPs, business cases, and contract changes.

Capacity to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents and contract language.

Ability to create persuasive presentations and to simplify complex problems for employees, clients, and senior audiences to facilitate fast and effective decision making.

Proven track record of leading innovation or process improvement initiatives through an organized, well-documented, and time conscious approach. Ability to keep projects on track and hold other team members accountable for their deliverables. Six Sigma (or similar) experience preferred.

Experience developing, implementing, and optimizing key performance indicators (KPI) or other metrics to drive team performance.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The salary range being offered for the Business Operations Manager position is between $90,000 annually and $100,000 annually. The compensation that is provided to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
