The Controller Role

The Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations at our Regal location. Reporting to the Finance Director, this role ensures that financial targets and objectives are met or exceeded.

Responsibilities :

1. Establish and maintain local internal controls for accounting transactions, ensuring compliance with SyBridge Corporate policies and auditor standards.
2. Manage the preparation of weekly and monthly financial reports, ensuring alignment with GAAP or IFRS.
3. Oversee the annual budget and rolling forecasts, conducting monthly variance analyses and reporting significant discrepancies to management.
4. Provide financial insights, focusing on capital investments, pricing, and contract negotiations.
5. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely, accurate customer invoicing and receivable collections within approved credit terms.
6. Participate in weekly spend and production/forecasting meetings.
7. Ensure proper documentation for all WIP/Unbilled transactions (e.g., POs, LOIs) and adherence to Revenue Recognition policies.
8. Ensure all government submissions are accurately prepared and submitted on time.
9. Review biweekly payroll input, correcting any discrepancies.
10. Identify and recommend process improvements in accounting and costing to the Corporate Controller.
11. Verify the accuracy of financial data, resolve discrepancies, and maintain the general ledger, including account verification, reconciliation, and journal entries.
12. Manage vendor relationships, focusing on cost control and payment terms.
13. Maintain confidentiality of all information from customers, suppliers, and SyBridge Technologies.
14. Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
15. Uphold safe work practices by maintaining a clean, organized workspace and following safety procedures.
16. Perform additional related duties as required or assigned.
17. Work closely with the Corporate Controller and Operations teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
18. Build professional relationships with external auditors and provide necessary information for annual audits.

Qualifications :

1. CPA or CMA designation preferred.
2. 6-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing.
3. Proficiency in accounting and tax software.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
6. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
7. Advanced Excel skills.
8. Microsoft NAV & E2 experience is preferred.
