Position Summary

Daniel OConnells Sons is seeking a Senior Project Manager with a minimum of ten years of construction experience. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day execution, project controls, project engineering, cost, risk, and business management of multiple projects. You will coordinate and lead internal project teams, trade partners, and clients throughout the preconstruction, construction, and turnover phases. The role involves creating and adhering to project timelines, budgets, trade partner contracts, negotiations, and reporting.

Essential Job Responsibilities
  1. Oversee and manage the planning and scheduling of multiple projects.
  2. Manage project finances, including Owner Pay Applications, Cost Reports, Production Reports, and Cost & Revenue Projections.
  3. Supervise field staff and operations team assigned to projects.
  4. Complete project buy-out and procurement, including scope review, negotiations, issuance of Subcontracts and Purchase Orders, submittals, delivery tracking, and vendor management.
  5. Monitor construction progress and collaborate with superintendents to resolve operational issues.
  6. Communicate with preconstruction teams, owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners; develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  7. Represent the company in project meetings and provide reports and documentation on project status and issues.
  8. Coordinate with other DOC departments such as BIM, Scheduling, MEP, and Estimating.
  9. Establish and implement project-specific safety goals, ensuring compliance with safety requirements.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Position Qualifications
  • Deep understanding of construction methods and procedures.
  • Extensive management experience, including financial, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication skills and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to resolve complex issues.
  • Ability to foster team morale and a strong work ethic.
Education & Experience
  • Knowledge of construction practices and procedures.
  • Four-year engineering degree or equivalent experience and training.
  • 10+ years in construction project management or related roles.
  • Experience in supervisory roles with decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management software (Procore or similar), accounting software (Sage or similar), and scheduling software (Primavera or similar).
  • OSHA 30 Certification required; LEED, Lean, CPR/First Aid certifications are a plus.
Working Conditions

This role requires working both indoors and outdoors, traversing construction sites, and using PPE.
