The Opportunity

WSP is seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our Buildings team in Toronto/GTA. To thrive in this environment, you are likely a trained architect or engineer with at least 3-5 years of experience in building construction or multi-discipline design project management and comfortable in a leadership role.

This role can be stationed at any of our offices in the GTA.

What You Will Do At WSP

  • Prepare proposals, project cost estimates, and schedules for construction and design projects;
  • Own project delivery through all lifecycle phases;
  • Act as the primary contact with clients on technical and administrative matters;
  • Liaise with project stakeholders and governing agencies;
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, stakeholders, and quality;
  • Coordinate work of contractors, designers, and suppliers;
  • Review contracts, drawings, and specifications for completeness and alignment;
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation measures;
  • Perform tasks to ensure successful project delivery;
  • Provide guidance, peer review, and mentoring for knowledge transfer.

What You Bring to WSP

  • Undergraduate Degree or Technologist Certificate in engineering or architecture, or equivalent;
  • 3-5 years of relevant project management experience in construction, transit, or related fields;
  • Transportation experience is an asset;
  • Strategic and analytical decision-making skills;
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Industry designations like PMP are assets;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively.
