Based in Sherwood Park, the IT Analyst supports data and voice network infrastructure, provides Tier 2 support, and manages external vendor relationships. The role involves collaboration within a team environment.

The working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm (MST).

Essential Responsibilities

  • Helpdesk duties, including printer, user, and desk-side support, remote management tools
  • Software installation, upgrades, and administration for client/server systems
  • Maintain systems for efficiency and security
  • Utilize tools like Active Directory, Exchange, Mitel, Cisco, Fortinet, AS400
  • Understand NTFS security implications
  • Recommend future system purchases and upgrades
  • Manage third-party vendor support
  • Maintain network hardware/software, telephones, security systems
  • Manage workstation images and inventory
  • Implement data backup and restoration procedures
  • Create and update technical documentation
  • Administer third-party software (security, surveillance)
  • Maintain network cabling and troubleshoot faults
  • Assist with IT projects and infrastructure deployment
  • Participate in on-call support rotation
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

  • IT Degree/Diploma with 3+ years or IT certificate with 5+ years of experience
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (asset)
  • Skills in COMPTIA A+, Windows 10/11, Mac OS (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and help desk systems (asset)
  • Experience with Mitel phones and IBMi systems (asset)
  • Fluent in English; French skills are an asset
  • Ability to be on-call during evenings, weekends, holidays
  • Background checks required prior to employment
