Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Project Lead Sr is responsible for ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies across our multiple sites. This role oversees quality initiatives across projects, leads quality teams, manages project-specific quality strategies, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and process quality.

Responsibilities:
  • Support our network in using problem-solving and continuous improvement tools to resolve issues, prevent recurrence, and improve the quality of our products and services (techniques such as: 5 Whys, Ishikawa diagrams, FMEA, & others).
  • Collaborate with sites, internal stakeholders, and customers to address quality concerns and ensure high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Leverage tools to gather quality data to monitor performance, identify trends, detect issues, validate, and support site improvement practices, and implement corrective actions (MES, SAP/Q & QIM, PowerBi, & others).
  • Validate the execution and analysis of quality tests to drive manufacturing process improvements and ensure consistent product quality.
  • Create, develop, and maintain documents for effective management of SOPs, controlled documents, and work instructions in compliance with standards.
  • Provide training and guidance on quality processes to ensure adherence to company standards, industry regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Conduct internal audits and Gemba walks; support external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Experience with food standards (BRCGS/GFSI) is preferred.
  • Lead projects aimed at improving product quality, process efficiency, and compliance using data-driven methodologies like Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement frameworks.

  • Demonstrate initiative, strong communication, and analytical skills.
  • Advisory and impact roles with influencing skills.
  • Excellent planning, rigor, and organization skills.
  • College diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; minimum 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience (experience in the paper industry is an advantage).
  • Bilingual in French and English is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to various units in North America.
