Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Project Lead Sr is responsible for ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies across our multiple sites. The role involves overseeing quality initiatives, leading quality teams, managing project-specific quality strategies, and driving continuous improvement to enhance product and process quality.

Responsibilities

  • Support our network in using problem solving and continuous improvement tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Ishikawa diagrams, FMEA) to resolve issues, prevent recurrence, and improve product and service quality.
  • Collaborate with sites, internal stakeholders, and customers to address quality concerns and ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Leverage tools like MES, SAP / Q & QIM, PowerBi to gather quality data, monitor performance, identify trends, and support site improvements and corrective actions.
  • Validate quality tests to improve manufacturing processes and ensure consistent product quality.
  • Create and maintain documentation such as SOPs, controlled documents, and work instructions in compliance with standards.
  • Provide training and guidance on quality processes to ensure adherence to standards and regulations.
  • Conduct internal audits, Gemba walks, and support external audits, especially related to food standards (BRCGS / GFSI).
  • Lead projects to improve product quality, process efficiency, and compliance using data-driven methodologies like Six Sigma and root cause analysis.
  • Strong communication, analytical skills, and initiative.
  • Ability to influence and advise stakeholders.
  • Excellent planning, rigor, and organization skills.
  • College diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience (experience in the paper industry is a plus).
  • Bilingual in French and English is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within North America.
