For over 10 years, we have provided exceptional veterinary service and patient care. We take pride in our work and are seeking a motivated individual to join our strong team in a fast-paced environment.

Summary

As part of the Client Service Representative team, you will help set the tone for the practice by building and maintaining customer trust and confidence in our abilities.

As a CSR, you must be a self-starter with strong attention to detail, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, handle difficult cases and clients, and possess outstanding communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review daily charges from the Electrical Medical Records via WoofWare, ensuring correct coding and billing guidelines are followed.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with providers, clinical staff, and pet owners regarding finances and information updates.
  • Provide treatment plans for diagnostics, procedures, and hospitalization in a timely manner.
  • Accurately post all payments at the time of service to patient accounts.
  • Audit and balance daily payment totals with treatments received.
  • Review and finalize patient accounts before the end of the workday.
  • Maintain professional and courteous relationships with team members.
  • Have predictable and consistent attendance, following all policies.
  • Alert the department manager of any issues needing further investigation.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Maintain strong knowledge of veterinary medicine, terminology, and billing guidelines.
  • Use correct coding when billing for multiple services during the same encounter.
  • Inform owners, doctors, and support staff when account reviews are needed.
  • Research financial rejections and work with staff to resolve discrepancies, including assisting clients with Care Credit applications.
  • Use coding and billing references to resolve complex scenarios.
  • Follow internal coding and billing protocols consistently.
  • Participate in continuing education to expand billing and coding knowledge.
  • Take on additional responsibilities willingly.
  • Assist other CSRs and coordinators as needed.
