Salary: $4,865 – 5,060 – 5,270 – 5,491 – 5,719/month (2024 Rates)
Schedule: 70 hours bi-weekly; Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM – 4:45 PM (Nine-Day Fortnight)

This position works in the Engineering – Administration organizational unit. The Engineering Customer Experience Representative receives and processes a variety of Engineering applications and permits for areas including sewer, water, design, environment, traffic, and inspection. The role involves serving customers at the counter, responding to calls and emails, providing information, and assisting with Engineering operations, services, bylaws, regulations, and procedures. The incumbent liaises with Engineering staff, escalates cases as needed, and uses software to manage information, process payments, and maintain records. Responsibilities also include creating service requests, conducting preliminary site plan reviews, performing user acceptance testing, and reviewing departmental processes for efficiency. Performs related work as required.
Qualifications include: Completion of Grade 12 with relevant courses and considerable office experience involving public contact and computerized systems, preferably in a large organization; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Knowledge of Engineering or construction policies, procedures, services, bylaws, and regulations. Familiarity with filing, recordkeeping, office practices, and software applications. Ability to make routine decisions, work under pressure, maintain records, compose routine correspondence, and communicate effectively with the public and staff. Ability to use software including databases, spreadsheets, and word processing.
