Network SME

Location: Montréal, Quebec, Canada

Work Arrangement: Scheduled work from home days

Employment Type: Full Time

The purpose of this job is to fulfill the Network Engineer position. This is a hands-on role responsible for overseeing and managing the design and implementation of network security solutions. The engineer will also provide 2nd and 3rd level support for all network security issues or outages, ensuring the smooth operation of the infrastructure for maximum security, performance, and availability. Maintaining vendor relationships to support current technology solutions and develop roadmap strategies for security systems is essential.

The candidate must be flexible to work in 24/7 environments.

Responsibilities

1. Design, build, and maintain Checkpoint and Fortinet firewall infrastructure.
2. Provide architecture, design, and implementation for all Internet and Extranet firewall connectivity to meet business and InfoSec requirements.
3. Manage projects related to implementing cybersecurity tools and products.
4. Support F5 LTM/GTM load balancers and reverse proxy with WAF configuration.
5. Manage McAfee Web Gateway proxy configuration, policies, and rulesets.
6. Build, configure, and support Pulse Secure SSL VPN.
7. Configure Citrix NetScaler clients.
8. Conduct vulnerability scans and assessments of all network and security devices.
9. Manage vulnerability remediation for all network and security devices, both software and hardware.
10. Create network topology diagrams and record troubleshooting details.
11. Perform other network security tasks as assigned.
12. Track and manage licenses for renewal, upgrade, and compliance.
13. Use Infoblox (IPAM) for IP address management.
14. Resolve operational incident tickets (P1/P2/P3) or service requests as per SLA.
15. Collaborate with Genpact or third-party teams for change implementation.
16. Follow policies and procedures for incident, problem, and change management.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate or postgraduate in Technology with a focus on Computers or IT.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

• Experience in enterprise security.
• Knowledge of Checkpoint, Fortinet firewalls, F5, and Cisco platforms (ASRs, Nexus, Catalyst).
• Understanding routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP.
• Troubleshooting Layer 2 issues and STP.
• Handling NAC issues related to dot1x/EAP.
• Proficiency in TCP/IP, UDP, and troubleshooting with Wireshark, tcpdump.
• Experience with McAfee Web Gateways and Infoblox DNS management.
• Experience with banking E-comm network security infrastructure.
• Basic IT infrastructure troubleshooting skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and collaborate effectively.
• Experience in coordinating and executing projects.
