Network Solutions and Security Architect

This position is:

On-site - working all 5 days per week in the Office

As a member of the Network Solutions and Security Architecture group, the Architect develops solutions that meet business and operational needs related to connectivity and security. This includes communicating requirements to infrastructure, network connectivity, and security policy teams. The role involves project-driven, technical work to ensure the stable, secure deployment, and operation of key systems.

The successful candidate will collaborate with various business groups (Carrier Networks, Security, Mobility, etc.), creating design documentation and detailed 'build tickets' for implementation teams.

The ideal candidate is strategic, analytical, a thought leader, motivated, focused, and committed to integrating comprehensive security into system design.

Responsibilities:

• Experience as a network administrator with Cisco, Juniper, or both (preferred).
• Experience with network security, including firewall administration with Juniper, Palo Alto Networks (preferred).
• Experience in network design and architecture at large scales.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to collaborate deeply with teams, determine project scope, and extract requirements and dependencies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to produce solution options and analyze approaches.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Visio, and SSH applications.
• Advanced Networking and Security knowledge.
• IP addressing, Layer 2 switching, Layer 3 routing, and data center fabrics knowledge.
• Security technologies including Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, PKI, and security architecture concepts like Zones, Zero Trust, and traffic flows.

Assets include:

• MPLS, VMware, VMware NSX, Windows, *nix OSs, Containers, Automation tools, and SIEM solutions.
• Understanding of confidentiality, integrity, and availability in security.
