Role summary:
NOVONIX is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Marketing & Communications Coordinator to support the Director of Marketing & Communications and the broader MarCom team.
This role is essential for the day-to-day execution of marketing and communication initiatives, ensuring timely coordination of assets, schedules, reporting, and logistics. The Coordinator will also assist with internal communications, digital content publishing, and vendor support, serving as the operational backbone of the team.
This position is full-time and onsite at our Dartmouth or Bedford, NS location. Currently, the working hours for this role are between 8am to 5pm. Please note that as our company evolves, working arrangements, locations, and hours may change to meet business needs.
Responsibilities include:
Team & Project Support
- Provide administrative support to the Director of Marketing & Communications and assist the Marketing & Communications Specialist with ongoing campaigns and initiatives
- Maintain marketing calendars, task trackers, and campaign schedules
- Coordinate internal approvals, stakeholder reviews, and file organization for marketing assets
Internal Communications & Content Coordination
- Draft and distribute the monthly internal newsletter, collecting content across departments
- Assist with intranet updates and internal content publishing
- Compile and distribute weekly media monitoring reports
- Help coordinate internal events, including Town Halls and employee engagement initiatives
Digital & Web Support
- Support basic website updates and content entry (e.g., press release postings, content formatting)
- Assist with social media scheduling and asset organization
- Support list management and coordination of email marketing campaigns
Vendor, Asset & File Management
- Liaise with external partners (designers, printers, event vendors) on delivery timelines and material requests
- Maintain up-to-date records of marketing collateral, event supplies, and promotional items
- Ensure brand templates and documentation are accessible and consistent
Other Responsibilities
- Assist with event logistics and shipping for trade shows and sponsorships
- Support the development of presentations and internal reports
- Support with scheduling, purchase orders, invoicing, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support marketing, communications, and branding activities
You are:
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills
- A strong communicator—both written and verbal
- Comfortable working across teams and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel); experience with Canva, WordPress, or similar tools is a plus
- Familiar with social media platforms and content management basics
- Proactive, collaborative, and eager to learn
- A graduate with a diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in a coordination, marketing assistant, or administrative role is preferred
