Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in an IT department.

Job description

We want you to bring your exceptional skills and experience with you and join our team as a Specialist, Desktop Support! In this role, you will handle requests for provisioning and shipping new IT equipment for the organization, including hardware needed for newly acquired locations. Additionally, this role provides deskside support as required.

We are ideally seeking a candidate located in Delta, BC. Our Home Office is located in Delta, BC.

What Will You Be Doing?
  1. Installing, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting end user and network hardware, peripheral devices, presentation equipment, software, and other products.
  2. Responding to incoming calls, emails, and work orders from the IT Service Desk regarding reported hardware issues.
  3. Supporting the IT Service Desk by handling emails and calls from end-users for general IT support.
  4. Performing on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex desktop issues for end users, including off-site repairs.
  5. Assisting the Merger & Acquisition IT Implementation team with hardware deployment, procurement of new equipment, and asset management for acquisitions.
  6. Procurement and configuration of IT assets to meet acquisition deadlines (computers, peripherals, iPads, and other devices).
  7. Administering and resolving issues with associated end-user workstation network software products, when required.
  8. Liaising with third-party support and PC equipment vendors as necessary.
As The Successful Candidate, You Have:
  1. 1-3 years of experience in a similar role within an IT department.
  2. Post-secondary education in an IT-related field, combined with ITIL and/or CompTIA A+ certification.
  3. Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) systems.
  4. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of IT tools, including Windows 7-10, Active Directory, Remote Desktop, Office 365, ZOOM, Google Chrome, FortiClient VPN.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Exceptional customer service, time management, and triaging skills.
  7. ITIL Foundations Certification (v3 or v4) or CompTIA IT Fundamentals, A+ certification is considered an asset.
  8. Bilingualism (French/English) is considered an asset.
