Responsibilities:

• Maintain active supplier relationships to ensure reliable supply and collaborate closely with operations personnel to meet project requirements.
• Ensure all purchased items adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Expedite items as necessary.
• Research and identify purchasing opportunities to achieve the lowest total cost of ownership.
• Maintain relationships with existing suppliers to support long-term needs.
• Assist the Purchasing Manager in meeting project requirements related to equipment, materials, or other needs.
• Help obtain quotes for purchasing needs.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar environment.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Internet.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and mathematical skills.
• Excellent communication skills, friendly and open manner.
• Adaptable to changing environments and rapid pace.
• Ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines.
• Self-motivated, good work ethic, able to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or similar role.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Leadership experience.
• Education in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field is an asset.
• Experience importing goods from China is an asset.
• Fluency in Mandarin is an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year
