Location: Vancouver, BC (with travel to Toronto as needed)

Hello Nori is a fast-growing Japanese hand roll restaurant brand with five locations in Vancouver, BC, two in Toronto, ON, and three more openings planned over the next year. Rooted in the traditions of Japanese cuisine, we are committed to delivering high-quality food, curated experiences, and operational excellence across all locations.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations. You will play a critical role in sourcing, vendor negotiations, inventory management, and ERP system optimization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain logistics, inventory control, and vendor management—preferably within the food and beverage or hospitality sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective and timely supply of goods
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms with suppliers, with a focus on quality and reliability
  • Monitor inventory levels across multiple locations and maintain optimal stock levels
  • Oversee warehousing and logistics operations, ensuring efficiency and cost control
  • Implement and maintain ERP systems to streamline procurement and inventory tracking
  • Collaborate with restaurant operations and culinary teams to align purchasing with business needs
  • Stay informed on market trends, especially in the Japanese food sector

Requirements

  • 5+ years of procurement or supply chain management experience, preferably in food-service or hospitality
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems and inventory management software
  • Proven negotiation skills and vendor relationship management
  • Experience with warehousing and logistics coordination
  • Knowledge of Japanese cuisine or culture strongly preferred; Japanese language skills are a plus
  • Willingness to travel between Vancouver and Toronto periodically
