We are looking for a Licensed Mortgage Broker’s Assistant to help them with the busy-ness of business! If you are a “Type-A” personality who excels in organizing, tracking, and satisfying a large customer base, read on!

This role involves managing the day-to-day activities for a busy mortgage broker and assisting in all aspects of the client engagement and approval process. You will assist in the lending process (must be licensed), communicate with clients, prepare mortgage documents, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks. Being self-motivated and a top performer is essential in this fast-paced environment.

Note: For the right candidate, there is potential for hybrid or remote work.

Our client is a leading mortgage broker based in Kamloops, with business clients across the province. The company has several mortgage brokers and aims to grow further in 2025. The owner operates at a high volume and fast pace, requiring an assistant who can keep up and help drive growth through meeting deadlines and customer follow-ups.

As the next Licensed Mortgage Broker Assistant, you will have key responsibilities that leverage your organizational skills and eye for detail to maintain high standards of accuracy and client satisfaction.

The Role :

  • Located in Kamloops
  • Engage with clients to collect financial information and application details
  • Conduct and submit pre-approvals to lenders, ensuring applications are complete and error-free
  • Satisfy pre-approval and deal conditions efficiently
  • Coordinate with lenders, clients, underwriters, and partners to streamline the loan process
  • Follow up with leads and applicants to maximize conversion
  • Seek referrals from past clients to meet targets
  • Provide exceptional support, addressing inquiries promptly
  • Collaborate with team members on sales and marketing initiatives
  • Participate in seminars, client events, and marketing activities
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, policies, and regulations
  • Continuously improve skills and processes based on feedback and trends
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed

Your Skills & Experience :

  • MUST HAVE
  • 5 years of Mortgage Broker experience (as a broker or assistant)
  • MUST HAVE
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks accurately
  • Self-motivated with a team-oriented attitude
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills
  • Confidentiality in handling sensitive client information
  • Proactive in seeking process improvements
  • Personable and able to work well with the public

Pay : $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • One year of clerical and administrative support experience, including reception, word processing, spreadsheets, and records management
  • Proficiency with MS Word and Excel, with a typing speed of 50 wpm
  • Ability to learn new software applications
  • Knowledge of office equipment and records management systems
  • Experience entering financial/administrative transactions and producing reports
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks under deadlines
  • Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
  • Strong business English skills in drafting and editing documents
  • Preferred: experience in marketing, website management, social media, and financial services
