Job Summary

Summary: Prepares and serves beverages to guests in the bar area in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adheres to liquor laws and regulations regarding serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Sets up and stocks the bar with beer, wine, spirits, supplies, garnishes, and glassware.
• Maintains freshness and quality of garnishes, juices, and perishables.
• Greets guests courteously.
• Processes drink orders, mixes drinks, and practices portion control.
• Checks IDs for age verification.
• Detects guest intoxication and acts accordingly, demonstrating knowledge of liquor laws.
• Handles cash, makes change, verifies charges, and records transactions.
• Secures all beverage and food items, equipment, and cash.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization in the work area.
• Displays bottles and glasses attractively.
• Washes and sterilizes glassware.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
