How You Will Contribute :

The Senior Analyst in the IT Applications team will be a technical and functional expert of the Return to Repair process. The successful candidate will consult, configure, and develop needed functionality within the Baxter Predict (Prophet & Lynx) platform and coordinate with internal and external developers to support the growth and sustainability of Ciena’s Reverse Logistics function. The candidate should demonstrate expertise in building business relationships, gathering and clarifying requirements, system analysis, translating requirements into low-level design documents, system configuration, custom development, and partnering with team members to carry out system changes and enhancements through to production.

Major Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement application solutions within the RMA tools planning platform and processes (Repair planning, Repair Operations, Reverse logistics & case management).
• Assist in designing and configuring Baxter’s Prophet & Lynx platform to meet client needs, including stock location planning, spare parts planning, customizations/enhancements, and integration with other systems.
• Deliver application changes, drive integrations, and generate reports.
• Provide technical guidance and business consultation to developers, introducing best practices and validating solutions during fit-gap analysis.
• Work with business teams to identify needs, scope efforts, develop and implement solutions, and support process changes.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal customers and peers for effective implementation.
• Ensure new functionalities and configurations are properly migrated to production following release procedures.
• Develop and implement innovative business solutions.
• Suggest and implement improvements to internal IT processes.
• Support the deployment of Repair and Planning platforms, including user training and change management.

Required Skills and Experience :

• 7-10 years of experience as an SME in Return to Repair operations with hands-on experience with RMA tools.
• Experience in driving at least 2 Baxter implementations end-to-end.
• Experience in configuring custom workflows, templates, and events.
• Proven skills in Reverse Logistics functions.
• Functional and technical experience in Repair Planning, Repair Operations, and Case Management.
• Competency in SQL query design and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Reverse Logistics is a plus.
• Experience with application integration using APIs and open interfaces.
• Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects in a global environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ownership, and independence in completing assignments.
• Excellent communication skills in English, capable of managing conversations with diverse stakeholders across time zones.
• Willingness to travel internationally for meetings, training, and conferences.
• Overall 8-10 years of industry experience, including business systems analysis, solution design, and deployment, with 5+ years working with Baxter platforms as a plus.

Required Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related fields from a four-year college or university with 5-8 years of related experience, or equivalent experience.
