Position Title: Rotational Zone Manager

Location: Cambridge Bay, NU

Position Type: Rotational 6x6, Permanent; Monday to Saturday

Security Clearance: Secret

Reports To: Operations Manager

About Us: Nasittuq Corporation (from the Inuktitut word meaning 'looking out from the highest point') operates and maintains the North Warning System (NWS), a critical joint Canada-US radar network with 47 sites across Northern Canada. What You'll Do:
  • Supervise and support all site employees, ensuring safe and efficient operations
  • Oversee daily logistics, site maintenance, and resource allocation in alignment with Nasittuq priorities
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, Collective Bargaining Agreements, security protocols, and safety regulations
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including Long Range Radar (LRR) Site Supervisors and Logistics Support Site (LSS) staff, to manage site operations
  • Conduct regular inspections and ensure timely reporting of maintenance, safety, and operational issues
  • Manage budget planning and execution for the assigned zone
  • Train, coach, and evaluate staff performance to maintain a highly skilled workforce
  • Represent Nasittuq in community and client interactions, fostering positive relationships
  • Travel to Short Range Radar (SRR) sites as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Who You Are:

Education/Certificates/Licenses: Post-secondary education or certification in a technical or trade-related field; Valid driver’s license

Experience: Minimum of five (5) years in operations, maintenance, or logistics within a technical or trade-related field; Previous leadership experience, including supervising unionized employees

Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of work/project management practices related to remote site operations; Proven leadership, team building, mentoring, and facilitation skills; Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills; Ability to work cross-culturally and manage multiple priorities effectively; Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills; Ability to speak Inuktitut is an asset
