Job description

A career as a Manager, Commercial Banking in the Commercial Banking team at National Bank involves leading strategic business development efforts to build and maintain a high-value portfolio of large, diversified commercial clients. Typically, clients have loans and deposits ranging from over $2MM to $10MM, with portfolios exceeding $10MM. This role offers the opportunity to positively impact the organization by collaborating with product partners to develop tailored products that capitalize on market opportunities. The manager will oversee all aspects of risk-reward parameters to ensure optimal business performance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Client Experience: Deliver outstanding service at every interaction, aligning with NBC's brand promise. Provide comprehensive solutions to become each client’s primary financial partner.
  2. Sales Activation & Business Growth: Develop and execute marketing plans to meet sales and growth targets. Engage in proactive sales activities to achieve loan, deposit, and cash management objectives. Negotiate to maximize profitability and generate leads and referrals for business partners.
  3. Credit Risk Management: Collaborate with the credit team to assess risks and implement appropriate measures, balancing risk and reward within NBC's risk appetite.

As part of the Commercial Banking services sector, you will join a team of professionals committed to collaboration, diligence, and client success. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President and Manager of Business Banking Services, the team offers flexible work arrangements, a supportive environment, and opportunities for professional growth.

Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in commerce, finance, or accounting, with approximately six years of experience in commercial lending.
  • Proven success in developing and implementing sales strategies in collaboration with partners.
  • Expertise in improving sales processes and programs.
  • Strong foundation in business modeling and computer skills is advantageous.
