Seasonal Sales Associate

The LDB is one of two government branches responsible for BC's cannabis and liquor industry. We oversee the wholesale distribution of beverage alcohol within the province and operate BC Liquor Stores retail outlets.

Seasonal positions are on-call, with hours not guaranteed and subject to availability. These roles are temporary but may lead to auxiliary opportunities.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Be at least 19 years of age
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
• Ability to provide excellent customer service
• Effective and professional communication skills with the public
• Aptitude for cashier duties, including calculations
• Physical ability to perform demanding work, including lifting 20-25 kg boxes
• Valid Serving It Right Certificate

BC Liquor Store Sales Associates may operate mechanical and hand-operated equipment and handle large volumes of bottles as part of the recycling program.

Rate of pay as of April 14, 2024: $26.0731 per hour.

Availability required from July 1 through Labour Day and/or December 1 to 31 on an on-call basis. Shift work is necessary.
