An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Pricing leadership team as a Senior Pricing Manager , focusing on the delivery of our key strategic objectives. We’re looking for a candidate who has extensive technical pricing experience and is keen to provide subject matter expertise and leadership across the pricing team.

The role is a hybrid role, therefore will involve a mix of working from home and from our Halifax office.

What will I be doing?

• Collaborating with the Head of Technical Pricing and senior stakeholders to implement modelling and rating changes that improve loss ratio, risk selection, and business growth.
• Leading and developing a diverse team of pricing specialists; ensuring achievement of expected competencies and behaviours in line with company values, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and agility.
• Enhancing pricing capabilities, establishing best practices, and ensuring proper governance and controls.
• Leveraging internal and external datasets, including broker-specific data, to improve predictive pricing models and achieve profit and growth goals.
• Representing Pricing in key forums as a subject matter expert, providing technical support and simplifying complex information for non-technical stakeholders.
• Maintaining expertise in Pricing and Data science tools (e.g., Willis Towers Watson Radar, SQL, Python, Databricks).
• Keeping up with market and technological trends to innovate and optimize existing practices and infrastructure.

Excellent numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail & accuracy.

Expert understanding of predictive modelling and machine learning techniques applicable to the technical rating of motor and home products.

Exceptional critical thinking skills and intellectually curious, with the ability to solve problems.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Self-motivation, with an ability to lead, manage and develop individuals and teams, remaining efficient under pressure.

An ability to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders, and adapt to the changing needs of the business in a competitive market.

Project management skills would be a distinct advantage.

Minimum 2 : 1 bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate numerical subject, or equivalent experience.

Evidence of continued learning to keep apace of advancements in analytical techniques, data science, AI and supporting technologies.
