Our Turboprop Airlines and Fleets division is headquartered in Summerside, PE Canada, where the accounting function is performed centrally for our facilities across North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. The successful candidate will gain exposure to global accounting and operations, developing expertise within one of the world’s largest independent MRO providers.

What You’ll Do

• Coordinate daily financial operations, monthly reporting, and month-end close, including reviewing significant operational / financial variances
• Assist in resolving discrepancies in balance sheet account reconciliations performed by the Central Finance team in Winnipeg and seek efficiencies
• Manage a team of accountants, including performance evaluations, development, hiring, and discipline
• Monitor and administer company financial policies and procedures
• Lead or participate in special projects
• Coordinate annual external audits with the Central Finance group
• Manage and coordinate audits with internal audit group

What Skills You Will Require

• University degree in business administration, commerce, or related field
• Recognized accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA) or a strong desire to pursue one
• 3-5 years of experience, including reconciliation review and audit coordination
• Leadership experience in managing people is preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
• Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize work
• Team player who thrives in challenging environments
