About The Role

As our Assistant Controller , you’ll be responsible for the integrity of financial statements and reporting, compliance with tax and audit standards, treasury, and cash flow management.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, including owning the month-end workbook and establishing reporting requirements.
• Review and approve payroll, provide variance analysis, own treasury functions.
• Serve as the primary contact for Corporate tax, Sales tax, and Audit engagements, ensuring compliance with all authorities.
• Collaborate with the Director of Finance on global expansion and operational initiatives.
• Redesign and oversee AR, AP, and Treasury processes for automated, streamlined workflows.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure reporting accuracy.
• Develop a high-performance team culture.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of accounting experience, with 2+ years in management.
• Familiarity with tools like QBO, Brex, Plooto, Intacct, Netsuite is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently remotely.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• CPA or similar certification is a plus (Canada).
• Experience in Multi-Entity, Multi-Currency environments.
• Experience with Audit and Tax engagements.
