About The Role
As an HR Business Partner, you will be at the heart of our People Operations, driving initiatives that enhance our company culture, work environment and support our team members. You will:
- Champion Employee Relations: Be the trusted advisor to management and employees, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace.
- Drive Performance Management: Support managers in setting goals, conducting reviews, and developing team members.
- Develop and Implement Policies: Create, implement and maintain HR policies that reflect our values and uphold industry and legal standards.
- Coordinate Training and Development: Identify training needs and facilitate development and career growth.
- Oversee Recruitment and Onboarding: Manage our employment brand to attract top talent, participate in recruiting and ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new hires.
- Ensure Compliance: Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations.
What You Bring
- A Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a construction or manufacturing environment.
- A proven track record of proactively recognizing areas for improvement and driving change.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations in British Columbia.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated mindset of accountability and ownership.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
