Job description

Job Description:

Schedules and pre-registers patients for appointments, outpatient visits, procedures, and other department-specific appointments. Completes associated administrative tasks and transcribes external orders from physicians. Handles high call volumes across multiple locations and departments.

Essential Functions
  1. Utilize multiple systems to perform all scheduling functions.
  2. Exhibit excellent computer skills with the ability to resolve technical issues independently.
  3. Provide patients with preparation and location information.
  4. Accurately collect and input patient data into the system.
  5. Validate patient insurance and explain benefits as needed.
  6. Manage multiple phone calls, including answering, transferring, and conferencing.
  7. Mentor new hires as needed.
  8. Promote the mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health and adhere to service standards.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical and Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent, or 4 years of revenue cycle experience. Minimum of 2 years in revenue cycle or contact center roles. Must pass the ALTA Language Services QBS assessment.

Physical Requirements:
  • Visual acuity for reading and assessing information.
  • Effective communication skills for interactions with customers.
  • Manual dexterity for handling equipment and devices.
  • Driving capability if applicable, involving sitting and reading traffic signs.
Location:

Peaks Regional Office, Broomfield, Colorado

Work Details:

Scheduled weekly hours: 40. Hourly rate: $18.81 - $24.26, depending on experience.
