CGC Inc. is currently recruiting a Marketing & Communications Manager in Oakville, Ontario office.

Position Summary

Canadian Gypsum Company (CGC), a trusted name in building materials manufacturing, is seeking an experienced and strategic Marketing & Communications Manager to join our team. This high-impact role will support the MarCom Team in shaping CGC’s customer and brand strategies.

As a key player in the team, you will lead efforts to enhance CGC’s digital presence, oversee internal and external communications, and spearhead content development. In the early stages, this role will play a critical part in developing and launching a brand-new website for CGC and USG, establishing the foundation for future digital growth.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Marketing

  • Collaborate with CGC’s business units and North American stakeholders to design and execute strategies that strengthen brand recognition and customer loyalty.
  • Drive the development of marketing campaigns rooted in customer research, insights, and sound business information to drive engagement and sales.
  • Develop and manage content strategies for web platforms, ensuring alignment with CGC’s brand values and product goals.
  • Partner with advertising and media agencies to build impactful campaigns that drive results.
  • Collaborate with the in-house Social Media Specialist to develop and execute engaging content strategies across various platforms, aligning with CGC's employer brand and marketing goals.
  • Partner with Sales and Product teams to create strategic marketing plans that drive business growth and engagement.
  • Guide storytelling initiatives that highlight CGC’s diverse product portfolio and reinforce its position as an industry leader.
  • Leverage the website and other digital tools (CRM) as key marketing platforms to support product launches and drive customer engagement.

Communications & Events

  • Support the Senior Marketing & Communications Manager in strategic communications, event management, internal communications, and media relations.
  • Assist in planning and executing events such as town halls, industry showcases, and employee engagement activities.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across North America to develop and execute internal communications strategies to engage employees across corporate offices and manufacturing facilities.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers and team members on effective communication practices, enhancing their presentation and messaging skills.
  • Support public relations efforts to enhance CGC’s reputation, build external awareness, and drive business objectives.
  • Ensure CGC’s customer-facing platforms (website, intranet, CRM systems) deliver a seamless and engaging user experience, aligning with business goals and customer needs.
  • Support the development and launch of a brand-new website for CGC and USG, including managing timelines, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Conduct regular content audits, monitor performance metrics, and use analytics to refine strategy and improve outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for digital innovation and implement enhancements to usability, functionality, and overall customer experience.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or a similar strategic role, with expertise in digital platforms and project management.
  • Results and data-driven mindset with a strong analytical capability and solid experience leveraging data to drive conversion and engagement.
  • Strong skills in internal and external communications, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and engage diverse audiences.
  • Effective at cross-functional collaboration to manage projects with multiple stakeholders and many moving parts.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills to liaise with all levels of management and to negotiate with suppliers, industry peers, etc.
  • Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using performance metrics and data to drive decisions and optimize strategies.
  • Experience in the building materials or manufacturing industry is an asset but not required.
