An Aftermarket Sales Representative is responsible and accountable for ensuring growth in Aftermarket sales within their defined territory.
How You’ll Make an Impact :
- Maintain constant contact with customers and prospects within their assigned territory through face-to-face meetings, phone, and email.
- Create needs and develop key segments for Maintenance contracts, Shop & Road Work, Power and accessories, Allied product line, 8210, Edge, and hand pallet trucks.
- Present product information regarding features, benefits, and new Raymond and Johnston product offerings to customers.
- Present driver training and leasing agreements for proposed equipment (8210, Power) and services.
- Represent and promote all Johnston services and divisions to customers.
- Investigate and target competitive users and non-users within the territory to promote Service agreements, Major repairs, and Overhauls.
- Pass leads to appropriate representatives for all products and services other than 8210, Edge, and Pallet trucks.
- Develop and maintain contact with potential customers through meetings, phone, and email.
- Create action plans to convert competitive users and non-users into Johnston customers.
- Actively participate in account retention.
Preparation of Proposals and Orders
- Identify opportunities and prepare formal quotations for Major repairs, equipment, and services to present to customers and prospects.
- Obtain management approval and signatures for discounts.
- Prepare internal order forms and paperwork.
Forecasting / Reporting Plans
- Prepare annual business plans, market plans, and identify target accounts.
- Update territory and equipment databases as required.
What You’ll Bring to the Table
- High level of integrity and work ethic.
- Secondary School or a University Degree / College Diploma is an asset.
- Minimum of 4 years sales experience required; flooring or building material experience preferred.
- Ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining sales quotas.
- Experience in opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, call control, account development, and territory management.
- Success in qualifying opportunities involving multiple decision makers.
- Strong knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
- Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.
- Able to build and maintain lasting customer relationships.
- Self-motivated, high energy, and enthusiastic.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license. Candidates with a “Go-Getter” attitude encouraged to apply.
- Experience in Account Management, Territory Sales, or Outside Sales, especially working autonomously, is preferred.
