Candidate Profile

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED; 2 years of experience in event management, food and beverage, or related professional area.

Core Work Activities

Supporting Department Operations and Inventories

• Manages inventories and assets, including par levels and equipment maintenance.
• Conducts monthly meetings with banquet captains and employees.
• Maintains attendance logs and enforces sanitation standards.
• Follows all policies, procedures, and standards (SOPs, LSOPs, etc.).
• Monitors guest satisfaction scores and meeting planner survey feedback.
• Orders supplies and manages beverage costs and inventory.
• Schedules staff to meet service standards and maximize profits.

Leading Banquet Teams

• Participates in meetings and leads shifts during events.
• Continually expands knowledge of cuisine, wine pairings, and event presentation.

Providing Customer Service

• Sets a positive example and interacts with guests for feedback.
• Handles guest complaints and empowers staff to deliver excellent service.
• Focuses on continuous service improvement and guest satisfaction.

Human Resources Activities

• Hires and trains banquet staff and captains.
• Provides ongoing feedback and reviews guest satisfaction results with staff.
• Participates in corrective action plans and safety training.

The salary range for this position is $52,000 to $69,000 annually.
