About the Role

Coinbase is looking for a highly motivated accounting professional to join our Subscription & Services Revenue Accounting team. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in our growth and operational excellence, supporting revenue accounting, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and external audits.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support revenue accounting activities, including recording journals and creating schedules
2. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting documentation
3. Collaborate with FP&A, Operations, Product, and Engineering teams for proper accounting and reporting
4. Maintain compliance with internal controls and policies
5. Assist with external audits and statutory financial statements
6. Perform financial data analysis to identify trends and issues
7. Participate in system implementations and process improvements
8. Maintain documentation and support ad hoc requests

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in public accounting or fintech/financial services
• BA/BS in Accounting; CPA preferred
• Knowledge of US GAAP; IFRS is a plus
• Experience with SOX controls
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and suggest improvements

• Experience with Netsuite, FloQast, G-Suite
