Driven by core values and a shared purpose, we’re fierce champions for better retirement security, known for our can-do culture where everyone plays a role in bringing our vision to life. If this sounds like a fit, we’d love you to be a part of it.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Analyst, Investment Operations to be responsible for the monthly and quarterly accounting close including the preparation and review of accounting schedules, reconciliations, and journal entries.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Investment Operations, the incumbent will also challenge the status quo and find ways to optimize current processes and reporting to create operational efficiency.

As the Newest Member of our Team, You’ll:

  2. Produce reports and analysis for senior leadership and stakeholders, including Investment Cost Report and Quarterly Financial Highlights.
  3. Calculate and review management and performance fees according to investment agreements.
  4. Calculate and review current investment fund valuations; provide pricing updates to custodians and performance measurement providers.
  5. Manage onboarding for new investments: initiate account openings with custodians (including market opening/global tax documentation), prepare KYC/FATCA/CRS documentation, gather key inputs/documentation from investment managers, and coordinate custody and accounting requirements.
  6. Prepare reporting and compliance deliverables related to the investment portfolio for external parties.
  7. Optimize processes and reporting to ensure scalability, strong controls, and document policies and procedures.
  8. Develop and maintain a solid understanding of CAAT’s portfolio.
  9. Provide oversight and training to junior team members.

To Succeed, You Bring:

  • University degree or College Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance within pension plans, institutional asset management, financial services, or accounting firms.
  • Completion or pursuit of CPA, CFA, FRM, CAIA, or relevant designation is an asset.
  • Experience with applications like Python, VBA, and Power BI is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and adaptability to learn new applications.
  • Ownership and accountability for tasks and projects.
  • Self-starter attitude with strong work ethics, focused on automation and efficiency.
  • Attention to detail, timeliness, and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to deliver quality outputs in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and handle ad-hoc requests.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across all levels.
