The Role
This senior IT position reports to and supports the Manger of Information Technology by providing high level analysis and strategic advice in support of the Town’s Information Technology needs including short- and long-term planning, daily operations, maintaining and optimizing technology and providing ongoing system administration, maintenance, upgrades and installation. The IT Analyst provides technology management solutions to support efficiencies into processes and system wide operations. With a focus on continuous improvement and service excellence, this position provides analysis of software and technology components and operational requirements to create functional solutions by consulting and collaborating with stakeholders.
To be successful you will need a post-secondary degree in Computer Science or related field (4 year), as well as a minimum of five (5) years of experience, including Information Technology project management, Information Systems development, and implementation. You will need advanced knowledge of IT principles and practices, business analysis and database management knowledge and skills. The successful candidate will have thorough knowledge of Personal Computer operating systems and applications, and networking technology.
