Job description

Data Analyst: A/B-tests and Customer Onboarding (Remote)

About Us
Constructor powers product search and discovery for some of the largest retailers in the world, like Sephora and Petco. We serve billions of requests every day, and you've probably used our product without knowing it. We focus on metrics over features, reinventing search and discovery as a machine learning challenge aimed at improving metrics like revenue. We have grown several hundred percent YoY for the last 2 years, with customers across various eCommerce verticals worldwide, in many languages.

We are a passionate team of technologists dedicated to solving problems and improving lives. We value empathy, openness, curiosity, continuous improvement, and metrics that matter. We believe empowering everyone to act independently can lead to great achievements.

Data Science Integrations Team

Our platform aims to provide measurable KPI lifts, with most customers proving this through A/B tests against in-house or competitor solutions. Our discovery platform is highly effective, demonstrated by significant conversion lifts in tests.

The Data Science Integrations team ensures successful A/B testing at scale with minimal manual effort. They handle customer onboarding from a data quality perspective, verify customer integrations and tracking, and ensure our algorithms perform correctly during test rollouts.

The team includes data analysts and data engineers. As a team member, you will utilize advanced analytical, engineering, and data processing techniques to build infrastructure, tools, and analytics capabilities, working with top e-commerce clients and collaborating across engineering teams at Constructor.

Challenges You Will Tackle
  1. Perform data exploration to understand user behavior, identify improvement opportunities for our search and recommendation systems, and develop data pipelines and UX/UI changes.
  2. Generate analytical insights to assist merchandizers in decision-making and optimize evaluation results.
  3. Support the Customer Success team in communication, onboarding, and achieving online metrics.
  4. Collaborate with the Customer Integrations team to ensure bug-free, well-tracked customer integrations that support data pipelines and search engine models.
Minimum Requirements
  • Proficiency with BI tools for data analysis and dashboard creation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating business needs into technical solutions and vice versa.
  • Experience leveraging large data sets to drive product innovation and business value.
  • Knowledge of statistics, especially A/B testing.
  • Proficiency in SQL and exploratory data analysis with Python (pandas, numpy, visualization libraries). Familiarity with big data tools (Spark, Presto/Athena, Hive) is a plus.
  • Ability to rapidly prototype and support e-commerce initiatives by focusing on relevant features and metrics.
  • Willingness to develop effective communication tools to report performance and inform decisions across teams.
  • Stack: Athena/Presto, Python (notebooks), Databricks, Google Analytics.
Benefits
  • Unlimited vacation policy encouraging at least 3 weeks off annually.
  • Competitive salary including stock options.
  • Fully paid US health insurance.
  • Remote work flexibility—work from anywhere.
  • Home office stipend and provided Apple laptops.
  • Annual training and development budget.
  • Parental leave for eligible employees.
  • Opportunity to work with talented colleagues and make a meaningful impact.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

We are committed to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and provide equal opportunities regardless of education, race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or other protected statuses. We encourage candidates who may not meet every qualification to apply, as we prioritize finding the best fit for the role.
