• Read blueprints to determine work requirements.
• Conduct research into costs, properties of production materials, and methods of production.
• Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Prepare manufacturing drawings, specifications, and guidelines for production, and construct prototypes of designs.
• Develop design concepts, sketches, or models for approval.
• Analyze the intended use of products and user preferences.
