Terus Construction, part of Colas Western Canada Inc., is an established road construction and materials manufacturing company operating in British Columbia and the Yukon Territory for over 30 years. We specialize in road construction, asphalt paving, aggregate production, and civil construction projects, employing over 550 local staff across more than 20 decentralized centers.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician based in Cranbrook, BC, to ensure the quality of our aggregate and concrete productions, supporting our ongoing projects and growth.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform quality control testing during aggregate and concrete production.
  • Assist in implementing quality control programs and procedures.
  • Ensure products meet specifications and report accordingly.
  • Maintain good communication with supervisors, subcontractors, and plant personnel.
  • Ensure calibration and maintenance of lab equipment.
  • Promote accuracy, confidence, and ethical standards in testing.
  • Conduct business professionally and respectfully, adhering to safety and internal policies.
  • Understand project specifications and report substandard results promptly.
  • Comply with all OH&S regulations and safety directives on-site.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of relevant QA/QC experience in the construction industry (training available for less experienced candidates).
  • ACI certification is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills (oral & written) and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Class 5 Driver’s License.
  • Ability to work outdoors and in laboratory settings.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and overtime as needed.
Compensation & Benefits

The salary range is $25-27 CAD/hour, with final compensation based on experience and skills. We offer competitive salary packages, benefits, in-house training, a supportive work environment, and opportunities for career growth.
