Mission

Terus Construction, a division of Colas Western Canada Inc., is seeking to hire a Quality Control Technician based in Cranbrook, BC.

Main Responsibilities

1. Perform quality control testing during aggregate and concrete production.
2. Assist in implementing quality control programs and procedures.
3. Ensure products meet applicable specifications and reporting requirements.
4. Maintain effective communication with supervisors, subcontractors, and plant personnel.
5. Ensure all lab equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
6. Promote accuracy, confidence, and high ethical standards in testing.
7. Conduct business professionally and respectfully at all times.
8. Understand project specifications; report substandard results promptly for corrective actions.
9. Comply with all OH&S regulations, safety policies, and site-specific directives.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of relevant QA/QC experience in the construction industry preferred; training available for less experienced candidates.
• ACI certification is an asset.
• Strong communication skills (oral & written) and ability to work as part of a team.
• Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Ability to work outdoors and in laboratory settings.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and flexibly, including weekends and overtime as needed.

Compensation

The salary range is $25-27 CAD per hour, based on experience and qualifications. We offer competitive salary and benefits, in-house training, and career advancement opportunities.
