Position Description

Day & Zimmermann Canada is seeking a Scheduler II to fill a temporary maternity leave. Under general supervision, this position is responsible for establishing detailed schedules and resource requirements for moderate to complex projects. The Scheduler II coordinates with project managers on schedule development and implementation, tracks project progress, analyzes plans for delays, and implements necessary adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains multiple project schedules using P6 software, exercising independent judgment.
• Creates project work breakdown structures to meet scheduling and cost tracking requirements, in collaboration with the Project Manager.
• Performs critical path analysis and 'what if' scenarios, evaluating impacts of changes and escalating issues as needed.
• Leads project schedule status meetings, providing data and analysis.
• Analyzes project productivity, trends, forecasts, and their impacts on schedule and budget; generates reports for management.
• Updates the project manager on schedule status, identifies potential issues, and develops resolutions, escalating prolonged issues appropriately.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Technical Diploma in Project Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience with Primavera P6.
• Strong understanding of planning / scheduling concepts and P6 software.
• Knowledge of nuclear power plant systems and activities is a plus.
• Understanding of stakeholder engagement and work package inputs.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
