Your role

Radio-Canada Saskatchewan is looking for an energetic and enterprising associate producer who will play a vital supporting role. You will be assigned to collect, write and broadcast material for all our media platforms. You will participate in the production, post-production of programs or segments, and coordinate with directors and staff, demonstrating initiative and independent judgment while adhering to CBC policies and standards.

Key tasks:
  • Provide ideas for show content; participate in establishing program objectives.
  • Arrange technical and production resources for the show.
  • Develop program content, including scripts, research, and editing, ensuring style and format compliance.
  • Organize interviews, develop questions, research, and brief participants.
  • Process invoices and handle administrative tasks.
  • Participate in evaluating production aspects.
  • Perform tasks such as selecting music, directing live or recorded programs, editing, and publishing content.
  • Maintain communication with the audience and support newsroom operations.
Candidate Profile:
  • University education or equivalent
  • At least two years of relevant experience in journalism, broadcasting technology, or related fields
  • Experience in interviewing, scripting, and segment preparation
  • Creative and original in producing news content with strong writing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfortable with news production demands across platforms
  • Organized, quick, and problem-solver
  • Flexible hours and overtime availability
  • Knowledge of Saskatchewan and the Fransaskois community issues
