Job description

YOUR ROLE

As the full-time Sales Leader, you support the Store Leadership Team by managing Leader on Duty (LOD) shifts and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. You oversee daily store operations as needed, train, motivate, and celebrate associates, and drive strong sales results. Most importantly, you embody our company values and bring your authentic self to work every day.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Drive sales with passion: As a key LOD, you excel at maximizing Fitting Room and Salesfloor productivity, building guest loyalty through an outstanding in-store experience, and supporting Store Leadership to achieve KPI results.
  2. Lead people: Motivate and inspire your team through AEO's core values. Serve as a role model and hold associates accountable to uphold our service standards, especially on the Salesfloor and in the Fitting Room.
  3. Talent acquisition and development: Prioritize recruiting and hiring strong talent, and invest in training and developing associates to ensure excellent service and a Guest First culture.
  4. Teamwork and engagement: Set clear, achievable goals for Sales and Stock Associates, provide real-time coaching, celebrate successes, and foster a motivated, engaged team.
  5. Visual & operational innovation: Execute and improve daily visual and operational procedures, including shipment processing, merchandising, and visual standards. Ensure Fitting Rooms are guest-ready and uphold Brand Standards.
  6. Integrity and safety: Maintain store safety standards, adhere to Asset Protection policies, follow company procedures, and always do the right thing.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Passion for AE and Aerie products
  • Previous retail management experience
  • Strong multi-tasking, attention to detail, priority-setting, and time management skills
  • Business acumen
  • Flexible availability to meet guest shopping hours
