A leading organization in child development is seeking an Administrative Support professional to join their team. The role involves various administrative functions, including managing records, answering inquiries, and assisting with recruitment. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, fluency in English, and experience in office administration. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive wage and benefits.
Administrative Support Position (Full Time, Permanent)
Start Date: Negotiable – position is available immediately
Wages: $24.76 to $26.38 per hour plus a 9.31% employer pension contribution
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
As part of our Administrative Support Team, you will work with a skilled and supportive group of professionals, updating children’s charts, typing and formatting medical/client reports, answering calls, greeting the public, and providing other related duties. This is a unionized position that includes a comprehensive benefit package, including extended health, dental, vision coverage, and enrollment in the defined benefit Municipal Pension Plan.
The successful candidate will be friendly, detail-oriented, highly organized, possess strong general office and computer skills, type a minimum of 50 words per minute, and hold a British Columbia Drivers license (class 5). Skills should be developed through completing an Office Administration training program with at least 1 year of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. JOB SUMMARY: Reporting to the Director of Operations, the employee will perform various administrative functions including composing correspondence, typing reports, filing, meeting preparation, answering calls, and providing information to the public.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Completion of an Office Administration Certificate with at least one year of recent related experience, or
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
