What We Are Looking For

• Registered Block 3 or 4 Apprentice
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience
• Experience working with PLCs is required
• Knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and equipment
• Familiarity with basic functions of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP preferred)
• Proven ability to communicate effectively for problem-solving, coaching, and work planning

In This Role, You Will

• Follow all safety rules and occupational health and safety regulations
• Troubleshoot and maintain production equipment, including electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
• Work from wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and equipment specifications
• Repair and replace electrical and electronic components such as motors, contactors, relays, timers, switches, PLCs, light curtains, and motor controls
• Calculate load requirements and select appropriate components
• Install new power supply lines in accordance with Hydro codes and standards
• Adhere to IEE wiring regulations, Electrical Safety Code, and company standards
• Wire control panels based on drawings and instructions
• Diagnose faults in electrical systems, including complex circuits
• Update electrical diagrams to reflect changes
• Work mainly on voltages up to 575V
• Maintain and optimize electrical equipment for performance
• Assist in managing electrical spare parts inventory
• Maintain work order and maintenance records
• Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
• Install and repair electrical components and wiring
• Test electrical and electronic equipment for safety and functionality
